Overview of the All in One WP Migration Plugin

The All-in-One WP Migration Plugin is a very popular plugin. Here’s the page on WordPress.org. You can see it’s got more than 5 million active installs. As the name implies it’s a plugin for site backup, restore, and migration. The free version lets you backup and restore up to 512 megabytes. I use All-in-One WP Migration a lot in my testing and in my development. And one of the nice features about the plugin, it replaces the domain URLs so they match the new location. So, that’s a big convenience.
All in One WP Migration Backup Locations

You can save to the server and export to download in the free version. ServMask sells extensions by export location. The packages are sold on an annual basis. Here are the premium locations:
- FTP,
- Dropbox,
- Google Drive,
- Amazon,
- Backblaze,
- OneDrive Box,
- Mega,
- Digital Ocean,
- Google Cloud,
- Azure,
- Amazon,
- pCloud,
- WebDAV, and
- S3 Client
So, you would get the extension that matches the storage location for your backups.
Testing the Reset Process
Here is a screenshot of the admin on a test site before activating the premium extension. Let’s go to the dashboard and plugins. You can see that I’ve been testing Editor’s Kit. I’ve been testing Exact Links. I’ve got a Custom Post Type that I created with ACF.

In the All in One WP Migration admin menu the Reset Hub and the Schedule are not available.

After I activate the pro extension this is what the admin menus look like for All in One WP Migration.

And here are the options on the Reset Hub screen. You can:
- Purge all the plugins
- Reset the themes
- Cleanup the Media library
- Reset the database
- Do a Full Site Reset

I run the full site reset and it just takes a minute. After the reset just the two All in One WP Migration plugins are left. Note on the left side admin menu that Extact Links, ACF, Editor’s Kit, and the Custom Post Types are gone. The media library is empty, the theme is back on the 2024 theme, there is a Hello World post, and that is the only one. The database was also reset.

Conclusion
Many people already have a pro extension for All One WP Migration, in which case this article may introduce you to a new feature that is just become available. Otherwise, if you’re thinking of getting the plugin then this article shows you a new feature. The reset features are not as extensive as a dedicated plugin, like WP Reset Pro, but the features are straightforward and many who have the plugin will find them helpful.
